Do I need to pay extra for an engineer ?
All sessions include an experienced assistant engineer. They can setup your session, operate the console/patchbay & pro-tools operate. They can't produce - i.e. make creative decisions for you. We manage a pool of excellent producer/engineers with a wealth of experience in different genres, let us know if you'd like to hear some of their work.
Can I hire the studio without an assistant ?
All Acoustic & Electric recording sessions must be staffed!
What equipment is included?
Pretty much all you'll need & some. Hire extras include 2nd guitar amp, cymbals, studio grade D&W drums. See equipment page for full list.
Do you have any downtime?
We're usually fully booked - though across our 3 premises we can cater for most budgets - i.e. drums at BE, overdubs at BA & mixing at The Workshop.
How much time will I need?
If you are looking to make a demo, the demo deal plus some mixing time is the best deal. If you are making a 4 track EP usually 3 - 4 days will suffice, an album 10 - 20 days. you get free lockouts on the demo deal most fri/sat nights. You can book as many demo deal days as you like!
Do you charge for lock outs/overtime?
Yes - at the day rate for every complete hr.
Can I hear some of your recordings?
Each & every client has a different style & there are a wide variety of artists that use us, no one single track would truly represent what an incredible facility Brighton Electric is. We have an excellent reputation as well as heaps of high-end recording gear!
Can I open an invoice account with Brighton Electric?
Yes - if you book regularly. Please email our accounts manager amanda@brightonelectric.co.uk for more! We provide full VAT receipts for every session.
